Is the basis of classical music triads while the basis of jazz is sevenths?

I'm just wondering if this sounds right. It seems like the basis of jazz harmony makes use of seventh chord and classical music the basis is triads?

Hi, Jazz musicians often use 7th chords, in classical music we can see the 7th chords as well. As early as Baroque music, say Bach's pieces has Major 7ths, minor 7ths and lots of dominant 7th chords. What possibly sounds more complex in today's music in jazz or contemporary classical music are the tensions, such as 9ths, 11ths and 13ths.
