Use the formula: y = m*x + b, where m is the slope, and b is the y value when x = 0
The line through U and V is y = -2*x - 8
To get the perpendicular line, first recognize that the slope must be + 1/2 (Plot on graph paper to see this)
Then, plug the values into y = m*x + b (point U is (-2, -4)
-4 = (1/2 * -2) + b
b = -3
SO: y = (1/2 * x) - 3
