A car and a home are the single biggest purchases that we will make as an adult, and yes, both are marketed differently! In a home, what does a woman look for? The kitchen! Whereas the guys will look for the man cave or the den where they can watch their football games. It's insanely different. A car on the other hand, will show practical usage of the car, like taking kids are trips or to soccer games, where the guy will be promoted images of speeding through a road along the ocean alone or with a pretty female next to him.
Ultimately, most marketing messages are geared towards the female mind, as they are usually the biggest decison makers in a household.
