So, usually natural gas is not found in a large underground chamber. Its usually contained in tiny pores in shales, which is why we frack to get it out. Sometimes in some swamps you can have large salt deposits trapping gas in a larger cavern, but even then it wont be very large.
If there was a cavern filled with natural gas, it would probably look like most other caves, whether its salt or a karst if you shown a light into it. The air would just be flammable.
