The slope-intercept form of a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. So, we have y = -5x + b. Since (-4, 10 ) is a point on the line, we can "plug in" -4 for x and 10 for y into our equation to obtain 10 = -5(-4) + b. So, 10 = 20 + b. Therefore, b = -10.
The equation is: y = -5x -10
