I have worked at a doctors practice for two years. Some of my collegues have made a year working in this practice, but they have increased their salary. I didn't get an increase when they did. What might be the cause of this? Should I ask my boss why or should I keep quiet?
Two choices: (1) Before talking with your boss compare your work and record at the doctors' office to see if you can figure out why this has happened. (2) If after you do this thoroughly you still don't have the answer, give some more thought of your own to how you might have enhanced your work. Finally, a possible third option is to ask the boss but it's probably safer not to do that.
