Just to update this for the Covid-19 world: If test centers are closed in your area due to the COVID-19 pandemic, consider taking the GMAT Online Exam, an interim, proctored exam that you can take in the comfort of your home. The online GMAT is two hours and 45 minutes with a 5 minute break and 15 minutes to check in. There are 3 full exam sections: Quantitative, Verbal, and Integrated Reasoning sections (excludes AWA).

1. 31 Quantitative Reasoning/ 62 minutes
2. 36 Verbal Reasoning/ 65 minutes
3. 12 Integrated Reasoning/ 30 minutes  

The quantitative section still has 31 questions, the verbal still has 36 and the Integrated reasoning still has 12 questions.

In terms of actual testing time under regular conditions, you will have 3 hours, 7 minutes to complete the four sections of the test, which comprise 79 questions and an essay:

Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) - 30 minutes, 1 essay

Integrated Reasoning (IR) - 30 minutes, 12 questions (multiple-answer questions)

Quantitative (Q) - 62 minutes, 31 questions

Verbal (V) - 65 minutes, 36 questions

With optional breaks factored in, you may spend a little extra time at the testing center, closer to 3.5 hours altogether.
