All lines that are straight and vertical are going to be x=? (any number on the x-axis), just as y=? (any number on the y-axis) will be a straight horizontal line.
In order for the line to pass through the point (6,-8), the vertical line would need to run through 6 on the x-axis, hitting all points starting with 6 as the x-value, including (6, -8).
Therefore, x=6. A straight line vertically or horizontally will have no slope, so the slope is 0.
