First find how many seconds are in a week.
(1 week)•(7days/week)•(24 hrs/day)•(60min/hr)•(60sec/min) = 604800sec
a.) water released = (25200ft3/sec)•(604800sec) = 1.524•1010ft3 = 15240960000ft3
b.) % released = (1.524•1010ft3)/(1,300,000,000,000ft3)•100% = 1.2%

Thank you. Part A was correct but I got Part b wrong. The answer given once graded was 1.17% of water released. (This was rounded to the nearest hundredth.). I am not sure how they got 1.17%???05/02/19
