To check if an ordered pair is a solution to a system of equations you just plug the x-coordinate in for x and the y-coordinate in for y:
2(-1) + 5(7) > -6 -4(-1) + 3(7) <= 2
-2 + 35 > -6 4 + 21 <= 2
33 > -6 24 <= 2
The first expression states that 33 is greater than -6 which is true, so the ordered pair works for that equation. However, in the second equation, we have 24 is less than or equal to 2 which is NOT true. So this ordered pair does not work for both equation and is therefore not a solution.
