I'm struggling in Python programming Class.

Question

Class uses a book called Python for everyone.

We meet with the teacher once a week for 2 hours.

He usually only talks about the meaning of the chapter per week we go through.

He gives HW and Programming exercises based on the chapter but asks us to do more than what the book shows us. If book says 1 2 3 he wants us to make 8 9 10 happen in the HW

I feel as if I'm not finding the ways in between to fill the programs to work and online researching doesn't help much because it only talks about basic things regarding the topic i'm on

He even says the book is terrible to learn from but we must use it since the school requires it.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to quit. I'm not sure If i'll be passing my class this semester.

Sometimes it's nice to have articles on individual topics but it's hard to tie everything together to solve a given problem.
