In triangle​ ABC, the measure of angle B is

45 degrees°

more than three times the measure of angle A. The measure of angle C is 60 degrees°

more than the measure of angle A. Find the measure of each angle.

The angles in triangle total 180°

Angle A + Angle B + Angle C = 180°

Angle B = 45 + 3A

Angle C = 60 + A

A + 45 + 3A + 60 + A = 180°

5A + 105 + 180°

Subtract 105 from both sides of the equation to give

5A = 75

Divide both sides by 5

A = 15°

Substituting we can find B and C

B = (45 +3(15)) = 45 + 45 = 90°

C = 60 + 15 = 75°

Checking

15° + 75° + 90° = 180°
