What is the growth/decay factor per decade for a city whose population grows by 24% per decade?

Answer 1

A factor of exactly 1 would produce no growth.

24% growth per decade is 24/100 as a fraction and 0.24 as a decimal.

This, added to a factor of no growth would give a factor of 1.00 + 0.24

1.24

The factor is 1.24 is the answer you seek.
