Hi! I am a current MBA student eager to help you succeed!
All of the research I did while studying for my GMAT alluded to the face that most business schools care about the GMAT more than the GRE because it focuses on the skills you need in order to apply what you are learning once you get to business school. The GRE is more of an SAT-type test in that it focuses mainly on how much you retained/memorized of a variety of subjects during your undergrad studies. The GMAT's main goal is to make sure that you know how to apply whatever it is that you're studying because business school is all about how to apply the complex theories and practices you're learning into real-world business and its problems.
