Are there any other math majors here who scored "low" on the quant section?

Hi all, I'm interested in getting a masters in business analytics or stats in the future, so I decided to take a practice GMAT/GRE to see how much studying I would need to do. I took MBA.com's practice test and ended up with 41Q/38V (650 total). I was kinda shocked to see that my quant was "below average". Did I end up choosing the wrong major?

Possibly, but more than likely it just means you need practice. For me, the GRE was less about solving difficult problems and more about minimizing error.

Try taking another GRE/GMAT style practice test and look over the problems after you take it. You may be getting the problems wrong by a small margin and a minimal amount of study will flip it from barely wrong to barely right and provide a much higher overall score.
