As you have written it, you would need to solve this by a numerical method such as Newtown"s method.
If what you mean is 7x+2 = 3x, then if you take logarithms on each side, you will get an equation which can easily be solved for x.

Is the x+2 grouped together or is it (7^x)+2? It matters, and the second scenario is harder to solve for.04/19/19
