This is kind of a subjective question, but I feel It will not take away from your brand if you actively make it a hallmark of your brand. If your promotions play on, reinforce, make it part of your brand. Also it depends on the logo design. You would need either something very simple or, if using something very detailed, you might want to think carefully about which element specifically in the logo would change color and why. And if it is something people will "get" when they see it passing a billboard for two seconds. There are a lot of factors to look at, it is not a simple yes or no answer.
