For the purpose of introducing relevant chemistry concepts and real-world scenarios, benzene is discussed in high school chemistry class. Its six-carbon structure is more stable than the 3-,4-, and 5-carbon structures and is involved in biological reactions. In academia and in the industry, 3,4, and 5 ring structures are rarely used due to their instability caused by their constrained arrangement.
