How do I protect my Excel spreadsheet?

Not a simple question. Are you protecting it from view altogether without a password, allowing view but disallowing data changes, disallowing certain non-data changes such as window size, only protected hidden portions of the spreadsheet from becoming unhidden, etc.? In addition, the version of Excel also makes a difference.
