How do you format cells as currency in Excel?

To format a cell as currency: Go to the Home ribbon, select the cell(s) and in the Number section select the drop down menu and scroll down to Currency. Or you can select the cell(s), right click the selected cell(s), select format cells, and under the Number tab select Currency.
