Lila ran 16 km in 2 hours. Sam ran 27 km in 3 hours. Who ran at a faster pace?

The pace that each runner ran at is the distance they ran divided by the time it took to run that distance.

LILA: 16km in 2hrs--->16km/2hrs = 8km/hr

SAM: 27km in 3hrs--->27km/3hrs = 9km/hr

Therefore, Sam ran at a faster pace than Lila because 9km/hr is faster than 8km/hr.
