The wholesale price of a TV is 71% less than the retail price. Therefore, the wholesale price is % of the retail price.

Every similar question I've found tells me to assume that the 71% is out of 100%. However, when I put in .71 into the answer box on my math homework, the website tells me I'm wrong. Please help!

Try it without the decimal. It says "the wholesale price is %," which indicates it wants the percentage, not the decimal. So try 71.
