𝑦 is directly proportional to 𝑥 and inversely proportional to the squareroot of 𝑤, and 𝑦=1/7 when 𝑥=4 and 𝑤=10. What does k equal?

y/√w = k

y/x = y/√w

x = √w

4 = √10 This is not true.

1/7 = 4k

k = 4/7 = 0.57142857142

1/7 / √10 = k

√10 (1/7) = k

√10(0.14285714285) = k

k = 0.45175395145

This produces two different values for k.
