A= length times width = 52. width can just be w (because there is no information about it). Length is 5 less than 2w...
So if w = 10, length is 15 (2 times 10 is 20 and 5 less is 15).
If w = 15, length is 25 (2 times 15 is 30 and 5 less is 25). Does that help write an equation/expression for Length?
52 = w times (your expression for length).
You will have to use the Distributive property; and your equation will be a quadratic. From there factor or use the quadratic formula to solve....
