I believe the answer is 72. First of all there is no addition, I believe it goes in order 3,4,5,6,7,then 8, and 9x8=72. Just my opinion

if it does go in order, then it still would come out 90. He is not saying there is addition, although there is, but that is saying that your variable n (let's say 2) times n+1 (2+1) is your input value. So if you had 2, you would do 2*(2+1)=2*3=6, and therefore you would continue. With your results of 9 time 8, equaling 72, that would not make sense. You are figuring that 9 times 8 is making up for 8 times 9. When 3 times 4 and 4 times 3 are not like that. The answer comes out differently, showing that 3 is being multiplied by 4 and 4 is being multiplied by 5. This means that 8 is being multiplied by 9 and 9 is being multiplied by 10. As a result, the final answer is 90.

The number you are multiplying for example 8*9 is 72 is one higher then original number you multiply it by a number one higher than itself 2 * 3 = 6 3 * 4 = 12 so when you get to nine you would be multiplying it by the number one higher than itself so it would be 9 * 10 is 90.... So if the equation didn't stop it nine times 10 the next one will be 10 times 11 and 11 * 12 and so on and so forth I hope I've made it easier for everybody to understand.
