g(x)=sgrt(x-1)

Question

I need the ranges and domain of this Quadratic function also to describe the graph and the steps to solve this.

 

 

also I need the same for this one y=-x^2

 a) Domain of square root of (x-1).  

  ->  x-1 >= 0          Take x-1 and set it greater than or equal to zero

  ->   +1 >= +1

  ->     x >= 1  

 

 b) The Range y >=0

 c) The graph look like f(x)=sgrt(x) but it it shifted one unit to the right.

 

2) y = x^2

 a) Domain: x = all real numbers

 b) Range: y >= 0

 c) The graph looks like parbola
