Seven monsters can scare all children from one school in six days. Working at the same rate, how many monsters are needed to scare the school in forty two days?

okay so what I did was 6 days x 7 = 42 days so 7 monsters x 7= 49 monsters but it is still saying it is wrong

Think of the scaring as work that needs to be done. If you have longer to do it, it can be done by fewer monsters, not more.

 

So think about it in terms of division, not multiplication.
