I am going to do the problem in a slightly diffrent way. Using the Point-Slope Form.
Now, you might recall that the point slope form is
y-y1= m(x-x1) where m is the slope and (x1, y1) is the coordinate of the point that the line passes through. In
in this case x1=8 and y1=4 and m=4.
y-4= 4(x-8) Subtituting
y-4=4x-32 Use the distributive property
+4 +4 Addinf 4 to both sides
y= 4x-28
There you have it. The same answer done in a diffrent way. Thanks for posting.
