Keith weighs 20 kg more than beth and Henry weighs 30kg less than twice as much as beth. If kieth and henry weigh the same, how much does beth weigh

k = b + 20

h = 2b - 30

h = k

 

If h = k, then h = b + 20. Since h = 2b - 30, also, the two are equal.

 

b + 20 = 2b - 30

-b = -50

b = 50
