Let y = the weight of a grape

Let z = the weight of a papaya

 

x + y = 1500

x + z = 2400      Subtract

y - z = -900

y + z = 2700    Add

2y = 1800

y = 900 grapes

 

x + y = 1500

x + 900 = 1500

x = 600 bananas

 

x + z = 2400

600 + z = 2400

z = 1800 papayas
