if f(x)=x^2+2x-3 and g(x)=x^2-9, find (f/g)(4) and (f+g)(4)

What you would want to do is put the function for f over the function for g and plug in 4 for x.

So it would be 4^2+2(4)-3 divided by 4^2-9

Which would be 21/7 and the answer is 3
