I think the algebra is correct, but I'm not sure the problem makes sense. The formula says that at 1.2 sec after jump, the velocity will be 0, i.e. that velocity decreases after jump. That doesn't make physical sense to me. Please check the statement of the problem before accepting the answer given by the algebra!
