The formula A = 269e^0.047t models the population of a particular city, in thousands, t years after 1998. When will the population of the city reach 392 thousand?

Answer 1

392 = 269e^0.047t

392/269 = e^0.047t

ln(392/269) = 0.047t

t = (ln(392/269))/0.047

 

I don't have a calculator to put that into for an answer.
