Can you find the volume of an object by finding the integral of a curve then multiplying by the circumference that the area is rotated around, for example integrate x^2 then multiply by 2pi if it is rotated around y=1

Probably you are talking about the volume of revolution solid around axes (in this case y axis). There are formulas for finding such volumes when you rotate curve around x-axis and y-axis. Look at any basic textbook for application of definite integrals.
