How many square feet of tile do I have?

There are 16 boxes of tile with 8 tiles in each box. Each tile is 8 inches wide by 36 inches long. How much square footage of tile do I have?

ok so each tile is 8 in x 36 in = 288 square inches

 

1 square foot = 12 in x 12 in = 144 square inches

 

So each tile is 2 square feet

 

16 x 8 x 2 = 128 x 2 = 256 square feet
