Complete the sentences with the diminutive or augmentative that corresponds to the definition in parentheses.

Just be careful with the augmentative and diminutive in Spanish. Not all the words follow the same pattern or rule. For example, in the paragraph you submitted, I would change a couple of things:

1. For little flowers (flores pequeñas), we use "florcitas" or "florecitas". The second form is more common: "florecitas".

1. For "golpe", the augmentative is "golpetazo".

Mi hijito (hijo querido) toma su lechita (cantidad pequeña de leche) y su agüita (cantidad pequeña de agua) en una tacita (taza no muy grande).
La señorita (mujer que nunca se casará) vive sola en aquella casa, la que tiene floritas (flores pequeñas) en el jardín.

Jaime se cayó y se dio un golpazo (or golpecito if it's small) (golpe con la cabeza) contra el piso; como es un hombrón (hombre valiente), no lloró ni dijo nada.

 

Remember, you can always add -ita/-ito to make some words small and -on/-ona to make some words big. Be careful with the gender of words like "la mano" which is femenine so you would have to say "maniTAS" (do not say manitos). Please notice the "ü" in "agüita".
