Where did I do this wrong?
Formula I: J=2L
Formula II: (J-6) + (L-6)=18
Becomes: 2L-6+L-6=18
So: 3L=30
L=10.

So Lacey is 10 and Jack is 20 now.
Six years ago: Lacey is 10-6=4; Jack is 20-6=14; Total is 18
