A broken clock loses 4 minutes every hour. If 2 clocks are set to 8AM, what time will the broken clock say when the normal clock reads 3PM?

10 am 9:52 <--- adds 1 hour, less 4 minutes

11 am 10:48 <---- switches to military time

12 noon 11:44

Now for the algebra....

it loses 4 minutes every hour...

8 am - 3 pm is 7 hours....

7*4 = 28 minutes lost....

3 pm = 15:00 less 28 minutes

2:32 pm = 14:32
