This is on my homework and I don’t understand can you help

mr.mattews basketball team gets two points for every basket (b) and one point for every free throw(f). They got 10baskets and made 3free throws.how many points did they score?

10b + 3f = p (10 baskets and 3 free throws make how many points?)

b = 2 (baskets are worth 2 points)

f = 1 (free throws are worth 1 point)

 

We have values for our variables, so let's plug them in:

10 * 2 + 3 * 1 = p

Order of operations means we multiply first, then add:

10 + 3 = p
