“Elimination” means subtraction (or addition) of the two equations, so that the coefficient of one variable becomes zero.
3x = 2-7y
-4x = 30-7y
in this case, both equations have -7y, so subtract one equation from the other, and “y” is eliminated.
now you get
7x = -28
solve this for x, then substitute back into one of he equations na, and solve for y.
