Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must solve each inequality for w and put it into a compound inequality such that
2w + 4 > -4 and 4w + 2 < 26
-4 > -4 -2 < -2
----------------- -------------------
2w > -8 4w < 24
--- --- ---- -----
2 2 4 4
w > -4 w < 6
Interval notation: w > -4 => (-4,∞)
Interval notation: w < 6 => (-∞, 6)
Putting together will turn it into (-∞, -4) U (-4,6) or (-4,6)
I hope this helped!
