How do i set this up?

Jim is making soup for a big famiky dinner. His recipie for chicken soup calls for 2/3 cup of carrots. the recipie makes enough soup for 4 people. how much celery would he need if he were making enough soup for 12 people?

He would be making it for 12/4=3 so 3 times the people, 3 times the amounts in the recipe. However, since you didn't mention how much celery was in the original recipe, all I can do is tell you to multiply it by 3 and you'll get the answer.
