I would like a solid algebra based answer for the word problem I have just finished typing as a question for you to answer

Ok! 

1. We know that a loaf of bread was bought for $2. Then a one pound of slice turkey is $5. 

 

2. Then ask you self what you need to find out or what info is missing. In this case, the number of pounds is missing for the turkey. This will be your x. 

 

3. The equation is 2 plus 5x= your total why? Because we want to find out how many pound and if you were to just buy five pounds you times it by $5 to get the total. 

 

2+5x=13.25
