Ok, the first thing you want to do is find out how long each side of the fence is. Since we know that area = length x width and that in a square the length and width are the same we can say that x = side length and that area = x2
this means that:
81 = x2
to solve this take the square root of both sides:
√81 = √x2
9 = x
now that you know how long each of the sides are you can find the perimeter of the square (4x) and that will allow you to calculate the total cost. Are you able to solve it from here?
