For 2a, remember the formula for density: D= mass/volume
The density of the unknown liquid would then be D= 10.4 g/ 12.2 mL. Therefore the density of the unknown liquid would be D= 0.852 g/mL
For (what I am assuming is) 2b, to find the mass of 12.2 mL of chloroform, you just have to rearrange the formula:
Density= mass/ volume (multiply both sides by volume)
Density (g/mL) * volume (mL)= mass (g)
1.48 (g/mL) * 12.2 (mL) = mass (g)
mass= 18.1 g
