cream of wheat

When making four servings of cream of wheat .bring to a boil 4 cups of water. Add 2/3 cup  of creamof wheat and stir. A family of threes doesn't want to make four servings. How much water would be required for three servings? How much cream of wheat would be required for three servings?

2 = 4w

1/2 = w

 

4 : 4 :: w_wheat : 3     proportion

4w = 12

w = 3
