 Coach G is hosting a party for his basketball team. He estimates that each guest will eat one fourth of a pizza. If the 5 players on the team attend the party, how much pizza will be eaten? If each player also brings a friend, how much pizza will be eaten?

Total 5 players at the party.

Each player eats 1/4

4 of the 1/4 total on whole pizza. The quantity of pizza eaten will be 1 whole pizza and a 1/4.

With a friend each the party will have 10 people in all. The amount of pizza eaten:

1/4 x 10 = 2.5

2 Whole pizzas and one half pizza is = 2 1/2
