Sec^2(X)/(Sec^2(X) - 1) = csc^2(X)

Question

Verifying trig function , have to set both side of equation equal to eachother.

sec²x / (sec²x - 1) = (1/cos²x) / (1/cos²x - 1)

 

Multiply and divide by cos²x and get

 

sec²x / (sec²x - 1) = 1 / (1 - cos²x) = 1/sin²x = csc²x
