I assume you meant to say that you have the equation of a line given by
y = (4/3)x - 1
and that you seek the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the given line. When 2 lines are perpendicular, the product of their slopes is -1. Therefore, the slope of the perpendicular line must be
m = -1/(4/3) = -3/4
Then any line of equation
y = (-3/4)x + b,
where b is any real number, is perpendicular to the given line.
