Let's put it together

 

24 ≤ x(x+10)

24 ≤ x² + 10x

0 ≤ x² + 10x - 24

0 ≤ (x+12)(x-2)

x ≥ -12 or 2

 

Only the positive result works, though.  (The width can't be less than 0.)
